Ceremonies of Carols

Britten’s much-loved A Ceremony of Carols has long been an audience favorite. It’s based on medieval carols and was originally written for treble choir. MCE is doing the SATB version so that all our singers can enjoy this treasured work.
Susa’s Carols and Lullabies, written to be a companion piece to Britten’s work, is less well known but equally lovely. Set within a southwestern landscape, it weaves an array of Spanish-language carols about the Nativity into a vivid narrative.
